During my extension with Special Olympics Africa, I worked with four incredible youth who traveled with me to various local mainstream schools to speak about their personal experiences of living with an intellectual disability. The students spoke about their personal experiences with Special Olympics and how they have worked to overcome the challenges they are faced with in life. Coming from different special schools, they presented to roomfuls of youth explaining the importance of tolerance and acceptance while promoting inclusion of all people. They are an inspiration to us all.
