As a Volunteer in Tanzania (1964 - 1966) our group of "engineers" were assigned a project to make farm to market roads into all weather roads. Our main job was to install culverts and build bridges. Our secondary project was to train the people working with us to carry on the work when we left The photo shows me (Gil) showing a trainee how to use a theodolite for surveying. Our project was successfully completed in the 2 years we sere in Tanzania.
