World AIDS Day 2007 in Galilaya, Uganda Galilaya is a fishing village located on Lake Kyoga at one of the northern most points in Kayunga District. Makerere University Walter Reed Project (MUWRP) collaborated with a Peace Corps Volunteer, Katherine Peters to do HIV education in Kayunga District. I accompanied Katherine on an trip to Galilaya on World AIDS Day in 2007 to provide HIV education to this population because fishing villages have been isolated as having some of the highest HIV rates.
