PCV Susan Folsom of Rockport, Massachusetts, is a math and science teacher at the Tyebambe School at Fort Portal in the Kingdom of Toro, Uganda, East Africa. In addition to teaching science, Susan also tutors English as a foreign language. Here Susan is shown at the left with British contract teacher, PENNY SMART in the center and Ugandan educational officials. Tyebambe school, formerly an Angelican Mission school, has 93 students and seven faculty members, four Europeans, two Africans and one American. Susan says: "I love it here in this school. My only problem is shortage of equipment and books, but we compensate with patience."Before Peace Corps, Susan was a teacher in San Diego, California, where she taught eighth grade.
