This photo was taken around Spring of 2004. A local counterpart and I were traveling from Ferghana to Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Going through the mountains and heading west towards the capital we decided to stop in a mountain village for a rest. As I walked around some venders and searched for local snacks we spotted a bobo, grandfather in Uzbek. Nodira and I greeted him and found him warm and hospitable, as many Uzbeks are if not all!
