I hope to submit several drum and dance photos, all from the same event. Khronowodoke villagers held an annual dance to commemorate a battle fought against Americo-Liberians in 1910. Villagers dress, decorate and paint themselves is a variety of ways and dance and sing to the beat of the large keleng log drums throughout the day and night for several days, fueled by palm wine, cane juice and a little rice and palm butter. As the only "white man' within miles, the annual affair gave all a chance to celebrate life as world citizens, free from all the trials of life in the bush.
